My secret sauce is I get to know the person behind the business before I dive into working on your financial clean up or monthly financial support service. That personal connection is vital to my ability to customize our services to your needs.
The truth is most bookkeepers and CFOs don’t stop to recognize the patterns in your spending, or to fully understand your deeper business and life goals. I’d rather take the time to build a strong understanding of your motivations with your business and its finances before I help you set up systems to be intentional with your funds – so you can achieve your goals with confidence and clarity.
That’s why as a bookkeeper and CFO, I’m all about making daily financial management easier by meeting with you regularly, offering advice on financial decisions, and installing systems that make tax prep a breeze.

How’d we get here, you ask?
Before I was a bookkeeper, I was a birth and postpartum doula
After dabbling as a birth and postpartum doula for a couple years right out of college, I was longing for the order and balance of numbers and accounting. It's what I went to school for after all!
But in the back of my mind, I knew I wanted to support small business owners to feel confident about managing the money they made.
Now, I’m finishing my CFO certification and it fills my heart with joy to be able to offer more strategic advice alongside monthly bookkeeping services to service providers like you.

Partner
Garrett Stowe, MPT is a seasoned business owner with 13 years of experience in creating and operating successful startups. With a background in creating business systems and procedures he has built and sold multiple businesses. He currently owns two businesses as well as serving as partner in Balanced Breeze.
Gravel bikes, CrossFit, and ornamental gardening are some of Garrett’s favorite pastimes. Before meeting Jennie, he dabbled as a concert musician and still maintains a few music students to keep a foot in the music world. Garrett is equally happy enjoying a quiet weekend working in the garden or traveling the world … so long it’s done hand-in-hand with Jennie.

Bookkeeper
Nakina Roberts, CB is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and holds a Masters degree in finance from Texas A&M. Prior to becoming one of the primary bookkeepers at Balanced Breeze, she spent 5 years in the classroom teaching 6th math, science and ESL.
A lifelong Texan, Nikina loves her some good tex-mex and lives for time spent with family (preferably on a beach!). The ocean is her happy place and she would gladly spend her life waking up to the sound of breaking waves. When not working as a mother of a rambunctious 4 year old son, she enjoys fitness, puzzles, and math (😂).
